My niece, Adelyn, is turning 1 soon! *pause for celebration* YAY!!!
Surprisingly, I have almost no photos of her, as opposed to her big brother, Jariel, who I have TONS of. But, alas, that all changed when I emptied out an entire card on her this past Friday. (An ENTIRE CARD!)
We needed 1 photo for her birthday invitation, but in the end couldn’t decide, so I dropped in 4. :)

A belated Merry Christmas to everyone, and a Happy New Year! Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday!
Back in early July, my brother, Carlos (Jr), and his wife, Ana (who’s wedding I captured), moved to New Jersey with another of my brothers, Brandon. Carlos and Ana had their baby a couple weeks later on July 25th and the rest of us here in the Midwest hadn’t been able to meet her yet.
Well! The holidays rolled around and my brothers, sister-in-law, and my niece came to town for the holidays! They arrived on our dad’s birthday to surprise him, and I showed up in Rockford the following day.
The entire week was spent doing what my family does best – hanging around, cracking jokes, laughing and watching movies together, as well as, of course, bonding with the beautiful baby.
Before going home, I pulled out my camera and grabbed a few photos of my niece. She was sick, and cranky, but my sister-in-law was INCREDIBLE at distracting Niya.
I hope this holiday finds you in happy spirits and brings you peace and joy. I pray that at this time next year you will be in a better place than you are now.

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of shooting an old friend’s baby shower. Edgar told me back in the summer that his beautiful girlfriend was pregnant and I was extremely happy. Last month, his mother, who was organizing the baby shower, asked me if I’d shoot the surprise baby shower. Of course, I said yes. It was a beautiful party filled with monkeys, the gorgeous mommy-to-be’s favorite color purple, and EARS!!! (Insider)
I can’t wait to meet little baby Genesis!

I’m not an avid blogger (a problem which I hope to tackle next year), which is why you will be surprised to know that this wedding post is almost a almost a year late. Yep. However, this wedding was very special. November 14, 2010, my baby brother, Carlos, got married to Ana, an old friend of mine. (Yeah, that’s right, I knew her first!) :)
Back in the summer of 2009, I managed to convince my brother to go to our organization’s annual convention, which that year was being held in New York. I had tons of friends I’d met in various other youth conventions from around the nation, so I was excited when my brother (finally!!!) decided to tag along. He stood to himself for the most part, but I forced him to come and hang with me and my friends and that’s where he met Ana. I don’t really remember which convention I met Ana (or was it camp?), but I’d known her for a couple years. Their friendship blossomed, and one thing led to another and they were getting married in the little town of Rockford, Illinois, almost 2 hours outside of Chicago.
Since their wedding, they have since moved to New Jersey and have had a baby girl (my niece!!!), Aniyah Victoria Concepcion. I can’t wait to meet my newest model!
